Day 0: 18/06/2025 - Arrival in Lima
Welcome to Lima and Peru!
Upon your arrival in Lima, our local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our hotel in the most beautiful area of Lima, Miraflores.
Depending on what time you arrive in Lima, there will be free time to relax.
Overnight stay: Miraflores, Lima
Day 1: 19/06/2025 - Lima to Puerto Maldonado (Amazon)
After breakfast, we will take a domestic flight from Lima to Puerto Maldonado, to explore the Amazon rainforest and its unique biodiversity. Upon arrival, the driver will meet us and take us to the lodge, where we’ll enjoy lunch and some time to relax before our first excursion.
We’ll then head out on our first jungle adventure, guided through 60 hectares of Brazil nut concession that Corto Maltés Amazonia conserves. Along the way, we’ll learn about tropical trees, medicinal plants, and the fascinating ecosystem. We’ll also visit a shiringuero camp, a replica of a traditional rubber-collecting camp, where we’ll see how latex is harvested and its various uses. The trek lasts around two hours.
Afterward, we can unwind by the pool or relax in the hammocks on our bungalow terrace. In the evening, we’ll embark on a nocturnal boat trip to observe caimans and possibly other wildlife along the riverbanks. Our day will end with a delicious dinner in the riverside dining room.

Day 2: 20/06/2025 - Puerto Maldonado (Amazon)
We’ll wake up early for coffee or tea before heading to Lake Sandoval. Our guide will provide breakfast and snacks for the excursion. At 6:00 am, we’ll embark on a 20-minute journey along the Madre de Dios River to reach the landing stage of Lake Sandoval. From there, we’ll hike 3 km through the lush Tambopata National Reserve, encountering giant trees, monkeys (squirrel, howler, and capuchin), various snakes, and a range of birdlife, including Hoatzins, kingfishers, and snakebirds. Once we reach the lake, we’ll board rowboats in search of giant river otters, stopping to enjoy our breakfast at an ideal observation spot.
Afterward, we’ll return to the pier and head back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit one of the two lookout towers at Corto Maltés Amazonía, offering excellent birdwatching and wildlife views from 20 and 42 meters high, along with a stunning sunset. We’ll also visit a Brazil nut camp, learning about this important local industry. Afterward, we’ll have free time to relax by the pool, enjoy a massage, or cool off at the bar. The day ends with dinner in the riverside dining room.

Day 3: 21/06/2025 - Puerto Maldonado (Amazon) to Cusco
We’ll wake up at 5:30 am for some coffee or tea before setting off for a 20-minute walk to the clay lick, where we’ll have the chance to observe 3 to 5 types of parrots. These colorful birds come to the clay lick to ingest a special kind of clay, found only in certain areas of this region. This clay is crucial for their metabolic regulation, and witnessing this vibrant and exciting natural event is truly a unique experience.
At 8:00 am, we’ll enjoy breakfast followed by some free time to relax. After breakfast, we’ll make our way back to the city of Puerto Maldonado by boat. Upon arrival at the port, one of our vehicles will meet us for a short drive to the local market, where the community shops for food and other products. We’ll have a brief 20-minute visit to experience the typical products of the area.Next, we’ll head to the airport for our internal flight to Cusco.
Upon arrival in this captivating city, our local guide will be there to welcome us. We will then head straight to our transfer vehicle for a ride to our hotel in the Sacred Valley, where you can relax and acclimatize. During the trip, we will make a stop at “Manos de la Comunidad”, which is a tourist refuge and museum of South American camelids and Inca textiles where you can see and buy local crafts, feed the camelids, take photos, appreciate the majesty of the Andean condor and caress the soft fur of the camelids.

Day 4: 22/06/2025 - Sacred Valley – transfer to Aguas Calientes
Early in the morning, we will begin our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, an area rich in history and culture. We will visit the town of Pisac and its famous craft market, where we can shop and experience local traditions. After admiring the impressive Pisac archaeological park, we’ll continue along the Vilcanota River, passing through charming villages to Urubamba for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore the Ollantaytambo Fortress and its ancient streets before heading to the train station to board the Expedition Train to Aguas Calientes. This scenic train ride offers stunning views of mountains and lush vegetation. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel to rest before our visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

Day 5: 23/06/2025 - Uncover the Magic of Machu Picchu
Our journey begins as we head towards Machu Picchu, one of the most famous and impressive destinations in the world. Upon reaching the Machu Picchu citadel, the stunning landscapes and majestic Inca architecture will leave us speechless. Every step along the stone pathways and every corner of the citadel reveals a new, breathtaking view. This experience at Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the Modern World, is an unforgettable exploration of the past that comes to life before us.
After the visit, we’ll enjoy a meal to regain our energy. We’ll then board the Expedition train, soaking in the enchanting views as we make our way back to Cusco. Our day will conclude with a return to our hotel, filled with memories from an experience that will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Day 6: 24/06/2025 - Celebration of the sun in Cusco
Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun, is an extraordinary celebration that brings the ancient Inca traditions to life. Taking place in Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire, this festival honors the Sun God and celebrates the deep connection between people and nature. The festivities begin at Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) around 9:00 AM, where the opening ceremony and traditional Inca rituals take place, followed by vibrant processions and performances in Plaza de Armas.
Expect vibrant music, traditional dances, and a deep cultural experience. In the afternoon, we will have a fascinating half-day tour of Cuzco with our local guide. We will begin in the iconic Plaza de Armas, and visit the Cathedral. From here, we will walk to the Koricancha Temple, an impressive ancient Inca palace, in honour of the Sun God. Finally, visit the lively San Blas neighbourhood, known for its artists, shops and artisan workshops. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, soaking up the atmosphere of the city and sampling the local cuisine.

Day 7: 25/06/2025 - Rainbow Mountain
Between 4:00 and 4:20 a.m., our local guide will pick us up from the hotel in Cusco to embark on an incredible adventure to the southern region of the Andes. After a scenic drive of approximately 2 hours, we will reach the town of Cusipata, where we’ll enjoy a delicious continental breakfast at a local restaurant.
We’ll then continue our journey for another 1.5 hours until we reach the famous Rainbow Mountain, Vinicunca. We’ll have about 3 hours to explore, admire, and photograph this breathtaking natural wonder. If you have extra time and energy, you can also discover the nearby Stone Forest, a fascinating hidden gem.
After the hike, we’ll return to the restaurant in Cusipata to enjoy a hearty and comforting lunch. Finally, we’ll head back to Cusco, arriving in the city around 5:00 p.m., where we will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of a day filled with unique and unforgettable experiences.

Day 8: 26/06/2025 - Free day in Cusco or Optional activity
Option 1: Free day in Cusco.Cusco, one of the most beautiful towns in the world, offers plenty to explore on your free day. Stroll through the charming streets and squares, where you'll see a mix of Inca and colonial buildings. Visit the Plaza de Armas, home to the impressive Cusco Cathedral and La Compañía de Jesús Church. Take a walk through the artsy San Blas neighborhood, known for its narrow streets, small shops, and galleries. Head to the San Pedro Market for a taste of local food and to find unique souvenirs. For beautiful views of the town, make your way to the Mirador de San Cristóbal for a great perspective of Cusco and the surrounding mountains. If you’re interested in local culture, you can even join a chocolate-making workshop and discover the secrets behind Peruvian chocolate.
Option 2: Instead, you can opt for the optional tour to the Lake Humantay. Very early in the morning, around 4:30 a.m., our local guide will greet us at the hotel to begin a day of adventure. We’ll travel through breathtaking landscapes as we head toward Lake Humantay, a stunning turquoise gem nestled high in the Andes.

Day 09: 27/06/2025 - From Cusco to Lima
After our breakfast, we will take a domestic flight from Cusco to Lima.
We begin our city tour at Huaca Pucllana with a panoramic view of this important ceremonial center belonging to the Lima culture. We head towards the center of Lima, passing through the different neighborhoods of San Isidro, Lince and Cercado. We will appreciate the Palace of Justice, the Lima Museum, the Museum of Italian Art, the French Palace and the Plaza San Martín. Our pedestrian visit begins in the Plaza de Armas where, in addition to appreciating the Cathedral of Lima, the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace. We will also have a panoramic view of the Parque del Amor, the Pacific Ocean and Larcomar.After exploring Lima’s historical and cultural highlights, take the opportunity to savor its world- renowned cuisine. Whether it’s a classic ceviche, a refreshing pisco sour, or a visit to a local market, Lima offers an unforgettable culinary experience.

Day 10: 28/06/2025 - Paracas & Ica
We begin our journey with a transfer from our hotel in Lima to Paracas.
Ballestas Islands Tour: We will board a speedboat at the Tourist Marina Pier for a 2-hour ride. Along the way, we’ll enjoy stunning views of Paracas Bay and its peninsula. Before heading to the Ballestas Islands, we’ll stop to admire the mysterious Paracas Candelabra geoglyph. On the islands, we’ll see Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and a variety of birds like Peruvian boobies and pelicans.
Huacachina Tour: Next, we’ll head to Huacachina, a desert oasis. Our adventure begins with an exciting ride in Polaris ROVs, exploring the golden dunes. Along the way, we’ll stop to sandboard, tackle the steep Patrick dune, and capture photos of the Oasis of America, a paradise in the desert. Afterward, we’ll return to Lima and transfer to our hotel for a restful end to a thrilling day.

Day 11: 29/06/2025 - Paracas & Ica
Free time in the morning in Lima, before the return flight.
Our incredible trip to Peru comes to an end, full of unforgettable experiences, images and emotions. From the magic of nature to the richness of culture and adventure, Peru will remain in our memories forever!
